Incidentally, I can read every article on the NYTimes website.  Wasn't there supposed to be some sort of a fee?    Or has that not gone into place yet?  Or do they just like me?

Changes at Oxblog

Josh Chafetz is leaving OxBlog. I, like everyone else, am sorry to see him go; I suppose I'll just have to buy his books and read what he gets published elsewhere. But I won't stop going to Oxblog, even with the "cool! an old friend is in print!" aspect to it -- I've always enjoyed the writing of the other members. I think I'll always enjoy reasoned, intelligent, interesting writers, whether or not I tend to agree with them or tend to disagree with them. Josh, we'll miss you, but thanks for introducing us to your friends!

Spiffy Icons

Those spiffy little icons that show up next to certain (CNN, Instapundit, Bank of America, etc.) websites in the address bar... how does one get them -- that is, how does a website manager place one on his site? Mastercard's seems to just be the Netscape logo, so I assume there's a default I-haven't-uploaded-a-picture-yet setting as well. Inquiring minds (my father's mind, to be exact) want to know!

Programming Announcement

Nothing to say, sorry. Like the sporadic TP, I'll come back when I have things to say, other than my great amusement that all those victorian rumors were true (at least when it comes to viagra), or am no longer on a reduced summer schedule.
