It's official: I'm getting out tomorrow. My parents' house is high, it never floods, it's sturdy, etc., but they don't have space for my car. I parked my old Ford on the lawn several times, but it still flooded three or four times, and, although it still worked, you get kind of tired of a car that smells like mildew. So, my car, my cat, my father's old Woodstock records, my hard drive, and I are headed up to be with my grandparents in the country. (Poor cat.)
Of course, that's still right in the path of the hurricane...
So what does one do to protect livestock in a storm? The cows will go to the woods, I'm sure, and the horses will all go into the barn... but I just hope it's not bad.
Anyhow; I'm taking care of myself; I hope y'all are as well.
