Baby Killing

Wizbang has more.

I read the 1997 Lancet article; it's shocking, and even more so when you realize that there are people -- and not just a highly-regarded professor and his students -- pushing for the same thing here.

Bob tells me I'm getting too worked up about it, that I can't do anything about moral depravity in Europe, and that there's no chance of anything of the sort becoming acceptable here (and that Oregon's not a step in that direction).  I don't believe him, but, as a concession to him (even though he doesn't come here), I'll write no more on the subject until I see something directly applicable to the US or something I have power to change.

I'll just go back to wishing I could write like Lois Lowry.  (Suppose her connection to the Jewish experience in WWII had anything to do with this book?)

UPDATE: What am I thinking? I'd forgotten the main reason behind starting this whole thing: to have a place where I could spout at length without bothering my mother and Bob (neither of whom like arguments). From now on, it's all baby-killing, all the time!
